Purpose of the Role
Lead our user experience efforts to build on our ground-breaking AI System (AIS). The platform & products incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to revolutionise the way companies use and visualize their data.

We are looking for someone to lead and develop the user experience to provide outstanding consumer and business user experiences; forming hypotheses for potential features and improvements. You will work as part of the product team, who are building Peak’s ground-breaking AI System (AIS). The platform & products incorporate machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to revolutionise the way companies use their data. The ideal candidate will have the ability to visualise an experience in the abstract and drive that vision into solid design deliverables with the team.
As a UX Designer at Peak, you will have the opportunity to work through the entire product life-cycle as an advocate for business users. You will partner with marketing, engineering and product management to successfully improve user experience across the Peak platform. Combining instinct, experience and analysis to deliver excellent user-centred results; your day to day responsibilities will include:
Work as part of a cross-functional core team to understand customer and business needs, and form hypotheses on potential features and improvements.
Lead design-thinking exercises to help build shared understanding and alignment on solutions to complex design challenges.
Construct conceptual diagrams, task flows, storyboards, wireframes and other deliverables to communicate proposed design solutions.
Lead collaborative sessions with customers and other stakeholders to explore, test and validate conceptual designs.
Work with software architects to help inform the design of APIs that drive our user experiences.
Partner with UI developers and Scrum teams to translate initial concepts into working user interfaces of exceptional quality.
Help promote continuous improvement in our product design practice.
Act as a thought leader and mentor to more junior designers.
While there’s no immediate line management responsibility, there could be the potential to evolve into a leadership role in future.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Extensive experience as a User Experience designer.
Experience applying UX within Agile development environments.
Experience with user research, analytics and remote testing platforms.
Experience in large, distributed & enterprise organisations.
Experience in leading or supervising other team members.
Thrive on creating elegant solutions to complex problems.
Comfortable working with abstract concepts or fine details.
Self-starter with the desire to learn and improve.
