Purpose of the Role
To bring your commercial and/or technical expertise to develop our AI solutions to customers.

Working with clients of all sizes, spanning various industries and sectors, you will gain exposure to a uniquely varied portfolio of data science problems in industry. We are looking for experts within the customer behaviour, demand forecasting or supply chain space to help drive our AI capabilities within our 3 solutions - Customer AI, Demand AI and Supply AI; to power growth and efficiency across businesses.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside data scientists with a range of technical expertise, working collaboratively to solve complex data science problems for our customers. With the aim of becoming a leading data science team, we provide extensive internal and external training courses to allow individuals to develop further and be the best in their field.
Using your domain knowledge in customer behaviour, demand forecasting or supply chain analytics; you will help to develop our innovative AI solutions for our customer to generate insights, make predictions, and optimize business processes.
Employ advanced machine learning techniques to solve real-life business problems using a variety of different data sources.
Advise on what solutions are technically and theoretically possible to define new projects and research areas that can deliver business value.
Provide support to the wider data science team through mentoring/coaching etc to develop their technical skills and successfully deliver AI solutions.
Provide input into the Product and Engineering teams to support the overall development of the Peak AIS system.
Report and present research findings and developments clearly and efficiently, both internally and externally, verbally and in writing.
Drive and engage in team collaborations to meet organisational goals.
Remain at the forefront of new and cutting-edge data science capabilities and identify opportunities for utilising them for the benefit of Peak and our clients.
Regular client visits to discuss progress of the project and clarify uncertainties.

Demonstrable experience in delivering data science solutions to model complex operational problems.
Proficient at communicating directly with customers to highlight insights drawn from their data.
A BSc or equivalent (Masters & PHD level also welcomed but not required) in Computer Science, Mathematics (Statistics and or Operational Research), Neuroscience, Physics, Engineering or other numerate subject.
Mentoring, supporting and/or coaching other data scientists to deliver results.
Demonstrable experience in delivering data science solutions to model complex business operations problems.
Customer Behaviour Analytics
Proven ability to lead successful marketing and business growth data science projects.
Knowledgeable within a specific area such as recommendation systems, omni-channel optimisation, B2C or PPC optimisation.
Experienced at applying machine learning techniques to model customer behaviour and preferences.
Ability to deploy advanced forecasting and/or pricing optimisation techniques.
Experience of using forecasts in a business setting to solve specific problems.
Knowledge of merchandising and planning business processes.
Supply Chain Analytics
Proven ability to lead successful forecasting and optimisation projects.
Knowledgeable within a specific area, such as logistics, warehouse optimisation, price optimisation and demand forecasting.
Competent with varied data sets, both structured and unstructured, and the ability to adjust between the two.
Experience in any of the following: statistical modelling, machine learning, data mining, unstructured data analytics or natural language processing.
Proficient in statistics and other tools & languages, specifically R and/or Python.
Familiar with relational databases and have an intermediate level knowledge of SQL.
Sound understanding of a wide range of statistical techniques and can understand and present findings to a non-technical audience.
