The Purpose

To be a trusted advisor, who enhances decision making throughout the company by providing key financial insights that drive Peak’s strategy.

The Role

This is a key leadership role building and managing the accounting function, guiding all strategic financial decisions at Peak. 

At a time of rapid growth you will be building a team that will enable Peak to grow to $100m and beyond whilst being at the heart of a sought after business partner whose critical insights enable the management team to achieve.

You’ll be working in a fast paced environment, navigating the challenges of global expansion and building the foundations for the Peak of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, nurture and lead a best in class finance team that supports Peak in the achievement of their strategic objectives.
  • Proactively contribute to the strategic direction and decisions of Peak, constructively challenging and influencing to optimise performance.
  • Act as a key member of the finance leadership team providing strategic and commercial recommendations.
  • Embed an exceptional quality of accounting throughout the function in line with the appropriate financial standards.
  • Ownership and accountability for P&L, balance sheet and cashflow, understanding all elements of performance to ensure accuracy and effective decisions can be made over this.
  • Mentor junior members of the team and provide coaching to support their professional development.
  • Create a finance centre which is equipped to lead all aspects of operational finance and enable scale.
  • Guide the function through the challenges posed by geographical expansion.
  • Implement systems & processes which will enable finance to meet the demands of a rapidly growing company.
  • Establish an effective internal control environment that ensures the integrity of financial and accounting information

Required experience:

  • Demonstrates leadership skills and embodies the Peak values.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, with a can do and positive approach.
  • Proven track record of building and leading exceptional finance teams.
  • Experience with companies operating in different geographies and knowledge of the challenges faced.
  • Experience of implementing appropriate systems and processes necessary to scale a growing business.
  • A natural self starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly analytical and extremely organised.
  • Appropriate accounting qualifications with significant PQE.
