Information Security & Compliance Manager

Purpose of the role

Following on from achieving our ISO 27001 certification last year, we are now looking for an Information Security & Compliance Manager to join the team to support our rapid growth and continued focus on protecting our data.

Reporting to the CIO, you will help define Peak’s compliance strategy and manage key activities including the maintenance of our ISO 27001 certification, our SOC 2 audit process, and other key initiatives such as GDPR compliance. This role will have responsibility for Cyber Security, and will work closely with all teams across the business to drive best practices and continual improvement.

You may see some skills and experience mentioned that you aren’t familiar with yet and that’s ok - If you’re driven, curious and ready to learn new things we’re open to seeing what you’ve got to offer!

The Opportunity

At Peak, we are on a mission to make AI accessible for all businesses by providing them with the ability to drive value from their data. Just as importantly, we are also focused on building an amazing company - one where we truly value our people & culture, and strive to make an amazing and diverse place to work. Our recent Best Companies award & 3 star accreditation for being one of the top companies to work for is a testament to this.

We have ambitious plans over the coming years; to capture a large part of this new market, expand our operations and create the best working culture possible. This is a great time to join Peak and the Chief Information Officer function, as we start the next stage of our global growth.

We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of helping to create a new function in support of this rapid growth. This presents a broad and exciting opportunity to really put your stamp on how Information Security and Compliance works at Peak, and we’re looking for someone who is constantly looking to improve how things are done.

The Role

At Peak, the most important thing to us is the protection of our data. We have invested countless hours in developing applications, tools and processes that are built with security at their core, and as above we have recently achieved ISO 27001 certification. Information Security will continue to be a big focus for Peak, and this is just the beginning of our journey.

The role will:

  • Work with the CIO and wider Peak team to maintain our ISO 27001 Certification
  • Lead on our SOC 2 audit. Investigate requirements and manage the end-to-end process
  • Be Peak’s Data Protection Officer; work with all teams in Peak to ensure we’re consistently meeting our GDPR obligations and drive continual improvement.
  • Working closely with our Legal team, maintain knowledge of global data privacy legislation
  • Drive a culture of Information Security and Awareness for the whole Peak team, working with our Learning and Development team to develop materials to keep the team engaged
  • Work with the CIO to build a long-term Cyber Security roadmap for Peak
  • Be pragmatic; act as an enabler for the business while helping to maintain compliance

Skills & Experience

We’d love to see someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience of implementing / maintaining ISO 27001 certification or SOC 2 audits
  • Strong knowledge of the GDPR (and relevant international Data Protection legislation), and how to apply practically within a business.
  • Previous experience operating as a Data Protection Officer
  • Experience of implementing Cyber Security programmes
  • Ability to engage people at all organisational levels
  • Positive attitude and a passion for Information Security
  • Ability to take the initiative, work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities at the same time
  • Experience across other geographies including the US, Europe or Asia

The Team

Reporting directly to the CIO, you’ll be involved in strategy as well as the tactical elements managing Peak’s Information Security and Compliance journey. You’ll also get great exposure, as a natural part of the role you’ll be highly involved with all teams in the business.
