We are looking for a skilled Integration Engineer to work as part of the Customer Integration team to make the AI System even better! You’ll get to work closely with our Data Science and Customer Success teams to deliver AI solutions for our customers on the AIS, ultimately helping those customers grow and optimise their business through data and AI.

 

The Role


Based in our Manchester office you’ll form part of a highly agile team in an environment that encourages collaboration and fosters learning. 


Integrating customers’ data into the Peak AI System is one of the most critical and complex elements of onboarding new customers. You’ll work across teams to plan and ensure the effective transfer of data, but also critically look to develop Peak’s data extraction tools within the AI System.  


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with Customer Success Managers and our customers to identify optimal data integration methods.
  • Provide project plans and estimates after understanding the data landscape. 
  • Build repository of documents to explain data ingestion best practices.
  • Responsible for initial bulk data upload to AIS.
  • Build data pipes using Peak’s AI System or custom tools if required to ingest data
  • Deliver data for Data Scientists in the staging area.
  • Develop monitoring for data ingestion jobs and take corrective action should they fail. 
  • Provide feedback to the Product & Engineering teams on data ingestion and integration.
  • Work with the DevOps team as a business data specialist to develop scripts to handle various data quality issues.

Required experience:


  • Strong experience in data projects including data warehouse, data migration and data integration.
  • Understanding of best ETL or API/streaming methods, including parsing of different data structures (XML, JSON, CSV) 
  • Strong technical background in ETL tools (including queuing and caching), SQL and databases. 
  • Experience using and creating APIs, with knowledge of ReSTful best practices (HTTP response codes, Headers, Authentication)
  • Understanding of failure handling, retry approaches and error reporting. 
  • Good customer facing skills and ability to explain complex problems in a clear way. 
  • Ability to work with both technical and non technical teams.
  • AWS/cloud tech and big data knowledge would be an advantage
